Brimonidine Tartrate is a prescription eye medication used to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. As an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist, it reduces fluid production and increases drainage in the eye to prevent optic nerve damage and vision loss. Its Purite preservative system is formulated to be gentler on the eyes than traditional preservatives.
