Allopurinol

Xanthine oxidase inhibitor (uric acid–lowering agent)

Allopurinol is a prescription medication used to lower blood uric acid levels, primarily to prevent gout attacks and to manage kidney stones or uric acid buildup caused by certain treatments, such as cancer chemotherapy.
